A horizontal tricolour of red, white, and black emblazoned with the Egyptian Eagle of Saladin
The coat of arms of Egypt, also known as the "Eagle of Saladin" depicts a stylized eagle holding a scroll on which is written "Arab Republic of Egypt (Arabic: Gumhūriyyat Miṣr al-ʿArabiyyah)" in Arabic script On the reverse of the flag, the coat of arms is flipped horizontally with the exception of the script.
The shield at the centre of the coat of arms is coloured red, white, and black; however the version which appears on the flag replaces the red and black with the same gold colour as the rest of the crest. [Wikipedia]
